UIMLA (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations)
Founded in 2004, UIMLA is an international non-state organization bringing together national mountain leader associations from all around the world. The Union is based in Chambéry, France.
The objectives and roles of UIMLA include, among others, bringing all mountain leaders from individual countries together into national associations so that they could become members of the international organization UIMLA; supporting education and a professional qualification of mountain leaders on the level of the EU; promoting the profession of international mountain leaders; supporting the development of relations between national associations as well as the idea of co-operation with IFMGA (International Federation of Mountain Guide Associations).

SAHS (Slovak Mountain Leader Association)
The SAHS was founded December 2, 2011. Foundation of the association was preceded by the negotiations necessary for the SAHS to be an active, functional and respectable organization aiming to integrate into the international UIMLA structures.
